Orthofix International announced Monday that it has completed the filing of its restated financial statements after the Lewisville, Texas-based medical device maker reported allegations of improper payments involving its Brazil-based subsidiary to the Department of Justice and the Securities and Exchange Commission, the FCPA blog reports.
Following an independent review, Orthofix said on Monday that its management had concluded there were errors in previously issued consolidated financial statements for fiscal years 2007 through 2012, and the first quarter of 2013.
