SAN FRANCISCO — Google is thumbing its nose at a Ninth Circuit order requiring it to remove the anti-Islamic film “Innocence of Muslims” from YouTube, according to the actress who won a copyright ruling against the company. Cindy Lee Garcia is seeking potentially hundreds of thousands of dollars in sanctions against Google for contempt of court.

Garcia’s attorney, M. Cris Armenta, wrote in an emergency motion for sanctions Tuesday that she has pointed out to Google “numerous times” that full versions of the movie including Garcia’s appearance continue to appear on YouTube and in Google search results. She attached to her motion multiple screen shots of Garcia’s appearance.
