The very honorable Lawrence Walsh personified the best that the law is able to make of a mortal person, and allow seeds of nobility to take root. He "flew straight," as Bob Morgenthau might say. As for politics, it is what it is always: finding common ground, when principles permit none.

This unhappy co-existence between law and politics, designed on purpose to co-exist with our separation of powers, is why America is always better.

His service to our nation is not diminished by any presidential pardons, rather enhanced thereby.

Rest in peace, with quiet glory.
