The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is cracking down on employers in the automotive supply manufacturing industry, according to Amanda Strainis-Walker of Epstein Becker Green. OSHA recently launched an Auto Supply Manufacturers Enforcement Program, targeting those in the Southeast who supply engines, airbags, trim and other car parts, says Strainis-Walker.

“As a result … most automotive supply manufacturers located in the Southeast can expect a comprehensive, wall-to-wall OSHA inspection within the next two years,” she says. Only those manufacturers that have been subjected to a comprehensive OSHA inspection in the last two years will be able to avoid this, she explains.
