Lawyers in at least nine class actions filed on behalf of consumers who were exposed to a recalled frozen berries mix sold at Costco Wholesale Corp. that caused a Hepatitis A outbreak have moved to coordinate the litigation for pretrial purposes.

Seattle plaintiffs firm Marler Clark, which is involved in all nine cases, filed a motion to transfer the cases on Wednesday before the U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation. Three of the defendants, including Townsend Farms Inc., which packaged and sold the mix — called Townsend Farms Organic Anti-Oxidant Blend — joined in the motion.
