President Barack Obama has made history when it comes to bringing racial and gender diversity to the federal bench, but a senator and liberal interest groups want him to nominate fewer corporate lawyers from large, well-known firms.
Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), citing a study by Alliance For Justice, said Obama’s judicial picks so far have been in line with previous presidents when it comes to preferring lawyers from large firms that tend to represent large corporations.
