There’s a new defense-man in the New Jersey Devils’ line-up. According to Rich Chere in The Star-Ledger, Devils CEO Scott O’Neil recently appointed Brad Shron as executive vice president and general counsel.
Shron comes to the team from Proskauer Rose, where he practiced as an associate specializing in sports law. Chere reports that Shron worked on significant sports transactions during his time at Proskauer, including team acquisitions, stadium fundings and naming rights and sponsorship deals such as the MetLife Stadium and the Prudential Center in New Jersey and the Amway Center in Florida. He’s also represented the National Basketball Association, the NBA Development League, the National Hockey League, Major League Soccer and specific teams, such as the New Jersey Devils, Orlando Magic, Minnesota Vikings, New York Jets and the Washington Nationals.
