Former Delaware Supreme Court Chief Justice E. Norman Veasey has left Weil, Gotshal & Manges to join Gordon, Fournaris & Mammarella, a Wilmington firm. Veasey said the move was motivated by his desire to do more arbitration, mediation and other neutral work.
“I decided it was important for me to withdraw from Weil Gotshal only because I wanted to do arbitrations, mediations and other neutral work,” Veasey told Delaware Law Weekly. “I lost out on many opportunities because a big firm like Weil had a lot of conflicts all over the world that prevented me from taking those cases. I wanted to go somewhere where there were no conflicts.”
