Simmons & Simmons has added a partner in Singapore.
Damian Adams, previously a partner with Watson, Farley & Williams, is joining Simmons & Simmons’ energy and infrastructure team.
He regularly handles cross-border deals and commercial matters for clients, especially in the mining, energy and shipping sectors. Last January, he represented two funds controlled by German investment company Buss Capital on a $410 million sale of 275,000 marine cargo containers to U.S. private equity company Lindsay Goldberg.
Adams joined Watson Farley as a trainee in London in 1997, relocating to Singapore in 2001. He became a partner in 2008.
Simmons & Simmons’ Singapore office now has nine lawyers, including five partners, according to the firm’s website. The British firm employs 650 lawyers in 22 offices worldwide.
