I can’t seem to get Willie Nelson‘s signature song, “On the Road Again,” out of my head, probably because Law Technology News’ staff has been traveling intensely this fall to bring you coverage of key 2013 conferences. Our technology editor Sean Doherty and I hit Vegas not once, but twice, in late August (well, that’s summer not fall, but who’s counting) for the International Legal Technology Association’s annual meeting, and then for ARMA in October. Reporter Victor Li and I were on opposite coasts for the IT-Lex (Orlando) inaugural innovation conference, and the third annual E-Discovery Institute Leadership Summit (Santa Monica), joined by our ace contributor Philip Favro—who also provided coverage from Los Angeles where the Association of Corporate Counsel convened for its annual meeting. Finally, Victor and I attended the official opening of the holiday season, aka the Georgetown Law Advanced E-Discovery Institute, which traditionally ends on “getaway Friday” before Thanksgiving, guaranteeing very expensive train/plane tickets and horrible traffic (my not-so-subtle plea for a date change).

Anyway, while our team has been on planes, trains, buses, subways and rental cars, there’s been a lot of nonconference news that we haven’t had a chance to report to you, so here goes!
