Quinn Emanuel Adds Sydney Partner
Beau Deleuil will join Quinn Emanuel on April 1. He focuses on insolvency, banking, professional indemnity and competition law, generally acting for large corporations and financial institutions.
Deleuil had been promoted to King & Wood Mallesons’ litigation chief just a month ago, immediately after the firm’s tie-up with London-based SJ Berwin became official. He was one of nine global practice heads named as part of a new management structure for the combined firms.
Prior to that, Deleuil had been head of Australia disputes. He first joined the former Mallesons Stephen Jaques 20 years ago as a solicitor in Perth and served as partner in charge of the firm’s office in the Western Australian capital from 2008 to 2011.
Quinn Emanuel launched in Australia in June with the recruitment of former Herbert Smith Freehills partners Michael Mills and Michelle Fox. Deleuil will be the third partner in the office, which currently has two associates as well. Quinn Emanuel employs 700 lawyers in 15 offices worldwide.
