Congratulations! You have graduated law school and passed the bar, major accomplishments that warrant recognition. Now its time to practice law. Most new lawyers are looking forward to a long, prosperous and rewarding career. I emphasize the word career because I imagine most of you became lawyers for a career (not just a job). I have been told by many seasoned lawyers that the legal industry has changed and evolved in the last two decades in many respects. One way the legal arena has changed is the dramatic increase in the number of lawyers licensed to practice law, especially in California.

Today, we have more new lawyers and law firms than ever before. Yet, most law firms are always looking for associates. Why? A disconnect exists. In today’s legal economy, new lawyers are a dime a dozen. But good new lawyers are not easy to come by. Whether your goal is to become a partner at a firm, become a sole practitioner, or start your own firm with other lawyers, let’s bridge the gap and shine.
