Louis Freeh, who led an investigation into Penn State’s handling of child sex-abuse reports in the Jerry Sandusky scandal, has fired back at former university President Graham Spanier’s writ of summons paving the way for a potential defamation suit.
On Tuesday, Freeh filed a motion with the Centre County Court of Common Pleas asking the court to deny a stay in the suit that Spanier filed against Freeh and his former law firm. The motion asked the court to compel Spanier to file a complaint in support of the praecipe for writ of summons that Spanier filed in July.
