Amid Gay Rights Furor, Goodwin Dumps Russia-Themed Event

Goodwin Procter said Tuesday it will neither cosponsor nor host a forum aimed at promoting investment in Russia that was to be held in the firm's New York office on Nov. 18. The move follows ABA president James Silkenat's decision to withdraw as the event's keynote speaker as opposition grows to Russia's recently enacted anti-gay legislation.
