China’s Ministry of Commerce has formed two additional panels of international and domestic law firms to advise it on trade disputes, following its announcement of two panels last month.
A new panel focusing on disputes over barriers to trade is broken up into two sub-lists. One will deal with intellectual property infringement claims before the U.S. International Trade Commission. In 2012, one out of three IP investigations initiated by the ITC involved a Chinese company. The ministry has opposed a number of these claims.
