Convicted civil rights attorney Stephen Yagman is fighting to hold onto his home in Venice, Calif., as federal prosecutors move to seize the property along with $300,000 in cash.

Yagman was released from federal prison on November 8, 2010, following his conviction for failing to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars in personal income and payroll taxes on behalf of his firm, then called Yagman & Yagman. He also was convicted of bankruptcy fraud after prosecutors alleged he had hidden assets, including the 2,800-square-foot house, from creditors and trustees overseeing bankruptcies for Yagman and his firm.
