In March 2012, an Am Law Daily examination of New York City Department of Health records revealed that four of the 25 Am Law 200 cafeterias inspected by the agency—those at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft; Cravath, Swaine & Moore; Davis Polk & Wardwell; and White & Case—had earned less than the A rating that represents the top score under a controversial grading system imposed on Big Apple eateries by Mayor Michael Bloomberg's administration in 2010. A number of other Big Law lunchrooms, The Am Law Daily found, had been cited for multiple sanitary code violations.
