Morrison & Foerster has hired two new partners for its Singapore office.

Jake Robson and Adam Summerly were both previously partners in Singapore with Norton Rose Fulbright. They advise on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and private equity investments in Southeast Asia.

Robson began his career with Norton Rose in London in 1998 and moved to Singapore in 2005. In 2009, he advised the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Ltd. in its acquisition of PT Bank Ekonomi Raharja Tbk of Indonesia for $607.5 million

Summerly, who has worked in Singapore for 14 years, joined Norton Rose in 2008 from Duane Morris & Selvam. He also previously worked for Jones Day’s Singapore office. In 2011, he advised Indonesian private equity group Saratoga Group on its acquisition of a controlling stake in Singaporean low-cost airline Tigerair for an undisclosed amount.
