That work will now go to Morrison & Foerster, according to a Thursday filing in U.S. District Court. Partners Darryl Rains, Judson Lobdell and Mark Foster will represent the beleaguered personal computer maker, replacing a Morgan Lewis team fronted by Philadelphia-based partner Marc Sonnenfeld.

Morgan Lewis partner Leslie Caldwell will continue to serve as lead counsel to HP in the government investigation into the deal, said a firm spokeswoman who declined to comment further on the switch. A MoFo spokeswoman also declined to comment on the representation, as did a spokeswoman for HP.
