We surveyed the country’s largest and highest-grossing firms: the 250 biggest firms as ranked by The National Law Journal and Am Law 200 firms as ranked by The American Lawyer. All told, 228 firms reported minority information. Those firms were ranked based on their diversity score. The diversity score was calculated by adding the minority percentage of U.S. attorneys at the firms surveyed to the minority percentage of U.S. partners at those firms. All attorney counts are average FTE (full-time equivalent) for 2012.
