GE Securities Class Action Winds Down with $40 Million Deal
After GE's lawyers at Weil Gotshal spent four years trying in vain to knock the case out completely, the company and its execs agreed to pay $40 million to settle a proposed class action brought by investors claiming they were duped about GE's exposure to subprime mortgages and other risks during the financial crisis.
