SAN FRANCISCO — Micron Technology Inc. and Hynix Semiconductor Inc. have fired back at Rambus Inc. in the appeal of their three-month price-fixing trial, arguing that San Francisco judges James McBride and Richard Kramer properly excluded evidence of a co-conspirator’s guilty plea agreement.

Hynix also argues it had good reason to exclude two African-Americans from the jury, because they both were "potential leaders" with no technology backgrounds — not, as Rambus claims, because Rambus’ trial counsel, Bart Williams of Munger, Tolles & Olson, is African-American.
