Thomsons Lawyers Adds Sydney Partner

Sydney-based Thomsons Lawyers has hired partner Tim Flahvin from Norton Rose.
Flahvin was most recently the joint national head of Norton Rose’s equity and capital markets practice. 
He focuses on equity raising transactions including initial public offerings and rights issues, particularly in those related to coal mining industries. He also advises on mergers and acquisitions. Previous clients include telecommunications company Motorola Solutions and recruitment site operator
He first joined the former Deacons Australia as partner in 2001 and became a Norton Rose partner after the two firms merged in 2010. Before joining Deacons, Flahvin was a partner at Sydney firm Hunt & Hunt, where he became a partner in 1997.  
Thomsons Lawyers has more than 210 lawyers, including 50 partners, working in five offices across Australia.
