The former acting head of the U.S. Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division, JOSEPH WAYLAND, is now back at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in the firm’s litigation practice.

Wayland was a litigator at Simpson Thacher from 1988 to 2010 before joining the Justice Department as the deputy assistant attorney general for civil enforcement in the antitrust division. In April 2012, he was named acting head and oversaw all of the division’s criminal and civil cases.
