Sanford Kaynor Jr., a former Ropes & Gray partner now serving as a special counsel in the corporate and securities group at Jones, Walker, Waechter, Poitevent, Carrere & Denegre in New Orleans, was critically injured in a Tuesday night armed robbery and carjacking, according to local news reports.
As of Friday, Kaynor, 53, was hospitalized in critical but stable condition after being shot twice in the chest in the carport of his home in the uptown neighborhood of New Orleans.
