Alston & Bird has added TED HOLLIFIELD as a corporate partner in the firm’s Silicon Valley office. He handles public equity and debt offerings, venture capital financings, and mergers and acquisitions. Hollifield joins the firm from Dorsey & Whitney.

Intellectual property partner WILLIAM HAULBROOK has moved to Choate, Hall & Stewart in Boston from Goodwin Procter. Haulbrook will continue to focus on the procurement and enforcement of intellectual property rights, patent infringement and licensing, and IP due diligence.

Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton has hired MICHAEL KRIMMINGER as a partner in its international banking and financial institutions practice in Washington, D.C. Krimminger comes to the firm from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, where he served as general counsel. At Cleary, he will concentrate on advising U.S. and global banking clients on regulatory reforms in the United States and internationally.

Crowell & Moring has expanded its New York litigation practice with the addition of partner EDWIN BAUM. The litigator, formerly with Proskauer Rose, represents business clients in multifaceted commercial litigation.

SARAH KAHN has joined DLA Piper in Washington, D.C., as a partner. Kahn will cochair the firm’s aerospace, defense, and government services transactional practice. She was previously with Arnold & Porter.

Corporate partner PIERO CARBONE has jumped to Duane Morris in London from Kirkland & Ellis. Carbone focuses on cross-border corporate transactions, particularly in private equity.

Goodwin Procter has announced the arrival of JOE CONDER as a partner in its real estate capital markets practice in London. Conder comes to Goodwin from Linklaters, where he headed that firm’s U.K. investment team and served as cohead of its global real estate sector group. Conder will handle commercial real estate transactions, including sales, purchases, development funding, and leasing in Europe.

CHRISTOPHER CUTLER is now a partner in Foley & Lardner‘s securities enforcement and litigation practice. Cutler, who will work from the firm’s Washington, D.C., and Tampa offices, represents clients in civil, criminal, and regulatory matters. He was previously with McGuireWoods.

DAVID PENTLOW has joined Herrick, Feinstein’s New York office as a corporate partner. Pentlow, formerly with Katten Muchin Rosenman, represents publicly traded companies, hedge funds, financial institutions, and institutional investors in the offering, purchase, structuring, and negotiation of financial products.

The Portland, Oregon, office of K&L Gates now counts JOHN CASEY as a partner in its commercial disputes practice. With a focus on securities and professional liability litigation, Casey advises clients in the accounting, financial services, private equity, and consumer goods sectors. He was formerly a partner with Latham & Watkins.

Kelley Drye & Warren has hired BRUCE KRAUS as a partner in its New York corporate group. Kraus will concentrate on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, capital markets, restructurings, and securities law. He was formerly cochief counsel, division of risk, strategy, and financial innovation at the Securities and Exchange Commission. Before the SEC, he was a partner at Willkie Farr & Gallagher.
