Rapid financial growth was once a given for the Global 100. But two years of recession has left key metrics in decline. 




Before the downturn, the sterling's rise made strong.

India's legal outsourcing industry keeps growing--although not as fast as its boosters hoped or its detractors feared. Who the ultimate winners will be remains unclear.

A half-dozen Am Law 200 firms opened Sao Paulo offices in the last two years. But even the sun, sand, and samba can’t eliminate the regulatory hassles and complicated relationships with local firms.



Revenue figures for American firms were obtained from The Am Law 100.
European firm revenues were obtained from Legal Week in London.
Australian and Canadian firms were surveyed.
Currency conversion rates are average full-time-equivalent numbers for the most recent fiscal year.
Revenue figures are rounded to the nearest $500,000.
