U.S. courts just won’t connect the dots between Saudi Arabia and 9/11.
In a result The Global Lawyer saw coming, U.S. District Judge George Daniels on Oct. 30 finalized his dismissal of Saudi Arabia from In re Terrorist Attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, a civil action filed by victims and insurers in 2002 to hold the kingdom and its charities liable for toppling the Twin Towers. During the first week of November, plaintiffs in the Manhattan case filed new notices of appeal against a ruling that is both craven and unconvincing.
