As many as 30 marketing and document review employees in Bingham McCutchen’s Kentucky back offices could face layoffs come Friday and the remainder must decide whether to accept offer letters from Morgan, Lewis & Bockius or potentially forgo severance, The Am Law Daily has learned.
Last week, Morgan Lewis announced it would absorb 226 partners from Bingham McCutchen, along with other staff, to create a 2,000-lawyer firm. On Thursday, sister publication The Legal Intelligencer reported that Morgan Lewis has extended offers of full-time employment to more than 300 legal professionals at Bingham McCutchen.
