Liberty Global Buys Stake in the U.K.'s Broadcaster ITV

International cable company Liberty Global said on Thursday it has purchased a 6.4 percent stake in the British free-to-air commercial broadcaster ITV.

As part of the deal, billionaire John Malone’s Liberty will pay 481 pounds ($824 million) to acquire 259.8 million ITV shares from British Sky Broadcasting Group PLC.
