More than a year after the Manhattan District Attorney leveled dozens of charges against them, the criminal trial against three former leaders of Dewey & LeBoeuf is underway, with opening statements scheduled for Tuesday. Ex-chairman Steven Davis, former executive director Stephen DiCarmine and ex-chief financial officer Joel Sanders face about 100 charges of scheming to defraud, grand larceny and falsifying business records. If convicted, the defendants could face up to 25 years in prison.
