Obama Tells AMA He Wants to Rein in Malpractice Suits; Doctors Cheer and Lawyers Smolder

We had a feeling that plaintiffs lawyers weren't going to like the news, as reported by The New York Times, that the president they helped elect was working behind the scenes to limit medical malpractice litigation as a way to curtail health care costs. So we called Thomas Moore, a prominent practitioner, to ask for his thoughts. Let's just say we got quite an earful.
