It”s still unclear who created bitcoin, whose rapid growth as a digital asset and payment system in recent years has spawned cryptocurrency-specific practice groups at several Am Law 100 firms. But a new investigation by Wired and Gizmodo has pointed to Australian academic, economist and cryptographer Craig Wright. Clayton Utz and Sommer declined to comment for this story, although Sommer did confirm to Gizmodo that Wright was his client.
