Meanwhile, firms such as Reed Smith, Saul Ewing, Duane Morris, Jenner & Block, along with DLA, will collect some of the $56 million—perhaps more—that Penn State now owes in legal and other fees.

As the University of Virginia grapples with criticism over its handling of sexual assault and abuse on campus, another public university is in the process of putting its own controversy behind it.
On Friday, DLA Piper released its ninth quarterly report on athletic integrity at Pennsylvania State University, giving it a positive review of its progress after former football coach Jerry Sandusky was charged with sexually abusing eight boys.
