Shanghai-based firms Boss & Young and JoinWay Law Firm have merged.
 
Both firms have around 100 lawyers, so the combined firm will have around 200, including 50 partners. It will operate under the Boss & Young brand in English though its new Chinese name incorporates those of both firms.

Boss & Young was established in 1999 and has offices in Beijing, Guanzhou and Detroit as well as Shanghai. The firm handles corporate, employment law and litigation matters. It has also has Beijing-based intellectual property group that practices as Boss & Young Patent & Trademark Attorneys.

JoinWay was the result of a 2010 merger of two smaller Shanghai firms. It focuses on property-related matters, including construction law and capital markets transactions. Along with Shanghai, JoinWay also has offices in Beijing, Nanjing, Wuhan and Chongqing.
