Addleshaw Goddard Hires Hong Kong Partner
London-based Addleshaw Goddard has hired a partner in Hong Kong.
Daniel Wan joins the firm's Hong Kong associate firm Francis & Co from Jun He, where he was a partner advising on corporate finance, capital markets deals and related regulatory and compliance matters.
Wan has acted on the Hong Kong initial public offerings of numerous companies, including those in the property, infrastructure and insurance sectors, among others. He also represents clients in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and direct investments into Hong Kong and China.
Wan had joined Jun He as a partner in 2011 from Bird & Bird, where he was a corporate associate in the firm’s Hong Kong office. Prior to that, he worked four years as an associate at the former Herbert Smith, also in Hong Kong.
Addleshaw Goddard first launched its Hong Kong office last May, and then announced an association with a local firm set up by former DLA Piper corporate partner Brett Stewien and Minter Ellison’s head of dispute resolution in Asia, Nigel Francis.
Addleshaw Goddard has about 600 lawyers in eight offices worldwide.
