K&L Gates has hired a partner in Sydney.

Elizabeth Gray joins from Australian firm Henry Davis York, where she was a partner leading the firm’s financial services group. She is a part of K&L Gates’ investment management team.

Gray’s practice focuses on investment funds, advising on formation and structuring, mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures, and related investment products. She also represents clients on financial services regulatory matters.

Gray had been with Henry Davis York for 18 years, first joining in 1996.

This is the second investment funds partner K&L Gates has brought onboard this year. In January, Greg Heaton joined the firm’s Hong Kong office from Deacons.

K&L Gates now has about 100 lawyers, including 31 partners, in Sydney. The firm employs 1,750 lawyers in 48 offices worldwide.
