Clayton Utz has recruited a new partner in Canberra, the Australian capital.

Andrew Leece has joined from King & Wood Mallesons, where he was a special counsel, also in Canberra. He specializes in regulatory, infrastructure and utilities work.

Leece’s most recent run at KWM lasted a year, having returned to the firm after three years serving as general counsel of Canberra Airport. He had previously been a senior associate in KWM’s commercial and government practice groups.

Clayton Utz’s Canberra staff totals 41 lawyers, eight of whom are partners. There are about about 900 lawyers across the firm’s six Australian offices and an office in Hong Kong.*
