While only 20 firms qualify for the The A-List, many firms aspire to join those ranks. This calculator allows users to look at a firm’s four scores (those that go into calculating A-List rankings) to see which scores can or should be improved. Individual category scores are calculated by using a simple formula: 201 minus the rank on each of the four surveys. A firm’s A-list score is then calculated by doubling that firm’s revenue per lawyer and pro bono scores and adding those to its associate satisfaction and diversity scores. To use this calculator plug in a number from 1 to 200 in each category to see what it would take for a specific firm to make the grade.—Rosemarie Clancy, Research Editor

*Should be used to estimate only as scores that merit A-List inclusion change from year to year.
