DOJ, FCC Tap Skadden and Wilson Sonsini Partners for Major Posts

The Justice Department has hired Skadden partner Sheila Birnbaum (photo at left) to serve as the new special master for the September 11th victim compensation fund. The FCC has hired Wilson Sonsini antitrust partner Renata Hesse to help oversee its review of AT&T's proposed $39 billion acquisition of T-Mobile USA.
