Sixteen Am law 100 firms had profits per partner (PPP) of $2 million or more in 2009, the same number as in 2008. Moving into that group are Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft, where PPP rose 28 percent, and Davis Polk & Wardwell, where it rose 9.7 percent. They replace Debevoise & Plimpton, where PPP slid 16 percent, and Dechert, where it fell 8.6 percent. The year's biggest increase in PPP was 33.5 percent at Jenner & Block; the biggest decline, 17.8 percent, was at Baker & McKenzie.
