EU Regulators Prompt UPS to Drop $6.9 Billion Offer for TNT Express

After being told by European regulators that its proposed acquisition of Dutch rival TNT Express would not gain antitrust approval, UPS has withdrawn the offer. Freshfields and Allen & Overy have been advising UPS and TNT, respectively, while Baker & McKenzie and Cadwalader landed roles representing FedEx and Deutsche-Post's DHL in connection with those companies' efforts to derail the deal.
