DLA, Gunderson Take Lead on Al Jazeera's Current TV Buy

DLA Piper is advising Al Jazeera on its $500 million purchase of Current TV, the first major transaction in the U.S. for the Pan-Arab news channel. A team of lawyers from Gunderson Dettmer, Hogan Lovells, and Steptoe & Johnson are providing counsel to Current, which was founded in 2005 by former Vice President Al Gore and Paul Weiss alum Joel Hyatt.
